Elofic woos OEMs with BS-VI ready products
The vibrancy at the Component Show was visible at the Elofic stall. The company is showcasing its BS-VI ready products and is aggressively wooing OEMs. Mr. Pawan Sharma, Vice President – Marketing, shared: “This is a platform for us to showcase our strength. In filtration, we have added new technology, in range and R&D and testing. We have also created infrastructure including regional warehouses. Here we can share those things with our channel partners who are OEMs.” Elofic Industries has been regularly launching new products on the basis of OEM requirements. He said: “The latest we have launched were 10-15 types of filters last month which are metal free and plastic molded ones.” The Elofic executives were excited about the ‘serious business’ response that they received from their customers. In the context of electric vehicles, Elofic may find challenging times ahead but they agree that EVs are the need of the hour. Mr. Sharma shared: “EVs are in the future but we are focused on the need of this hour which is transitioning to BS-VI reforms. EVs will take only some percentage of the automotive sector but the rest of the market will be driven by regular diesel vehicles. Elofic is ready with the technology for BS-VI transition. And we are also big on innovation is another driving force for us to upgrade. Cost competitiveness is our strength. We are doing product improvement consistently which leads us to be more cost competitive.” Mr. Ajay Seth – Vice President – International Business, said: “Our total focus till now was on the automotive industry but now we are becoming more aggressive in the CE sector also. Then the two-wheeler segment is also a huge sector for us to cater to. Technology is changing and we are ready with it for these two sectors.” Both the officials were confident that all the stakeholders in the automotive and auto component industries are feeling optimistic because now GST is well established. The setbacks like the unpreparedness of the market are over. We are reaping GST benefits now, they said. With their exports growing by ‘150 per cent’ post-GST, Elofic is now looking forward to the same trend to continue.
